Missed-call text-back guide

Looking for a missed-call text-back service? Know what is live.

VoiceLlama can capture the conversation. Customer SMS text-back is not active.

A text to a caller and an email recap to a business owner are different services. VoiceLlama currently focuses on AI phone answering, conversational message intake and account review, with configured email recaps. If your requirement is an automatic SMS after a missed call, do not buy on the assumption that VoiceLlama already provides it.

Customer SMS text-back is not active.

Email recaps go to you, the business owner. They are not text messages sent to your callers.

Three different things that are easy to confuse.

  • 01

A text-back goes to the caller

A missed-call text-back sends an SMS to someone who called. That requires sender readiness, appropriate recipient consent, suppression, STOP/HELP handling and delivery controls. Customer sending is not active in VoiceLlama.

  • 02

An email recap goes to the owner

A configured email recap helps your team review a call. It is not proof that the caller received a message, and it is not a text transcript delivered over SMS.

  • 03

    Voice intake captures a conversation

Forwarded calls can reach the published AI agent, which collects caller details and makes available summaries/transcripts for review. If the call never reaches that line, do not assume an SMS or recap will recover it.

How a call becomes a usable lead

  1. 1

Choose the actual outcome you need

If automatic caller SMS is essential today, confirm it directly with any provider before purchasing. This page is an availability guide, not an offer of working VoiceLlama text-back delivery.

  2. 2

Use the current voice alternative if it fits

Configure answering and intake, test forwarding and check the captured details in your account. Set up owner email notifications where supported.

  3. 3

Review any future messaging rollout separately

Customer SMS will need approved sender, consent and opt-out behavior before activation. A development test, preview draft or pricing feature label does not enable it.

Limitations to know before you start

  • Customer SMS text-back is not active. No text is sent by this page, the example or its setup CTA.
  • Starting setup opens the current VoiceLlama account flow for voice answering; it does not reserve or activate an SMS product.
  • No promise of an SMS launch date, delivery time or caller consent is made. Contact the team to confirm requirements before relying on messaging.

Need voice intake while you evaluate text-back?
